Overview
The project—announced by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister—is considered the most significant expansion in the history of the Qubaa Mosque, the first mosque built in Islam. It aims to enlarge the mosque itself and to develop the surrounding historical areas and pathways in an integrated manner that honors both its setting and its historical and moral significance.
